Apartment JM2, Princesseflat +5, Amsterdam Beatrixpark, 2010
Characteristic of this building by architect Mart Stam, 1962, are the many terraces and the windows of different sizes, with white painted frames and opening windows made of clear lacquered meranti wood.
On the fifth floor, the apartment feels as if it is situated in between the trees of the Beatrix Park.
The new floating screed floor with floor heating is covered with linoleum (Dust by Jurgen Bey) in the spirit of the 1960s.
This is the first of five apartments that I designed in the Princesseflat, I also supervised the renovation of the central spaces of the building.
