Apartment W1, Hoogkade Amsterdam, 2002

I lived and worked here for almost 20 years.

I wanted an apartment in this building designed by Diener & Diener because of its location with water along the two long sides and because the very precise, somewhat unruly architecture appealed to me - but the interior had been divided into cubicles by the developer.

The apartment was spacious and very bright.

I renovated it in such a way that an enfilade was created showing the largest dimensions, while each place, with its own function and its own atmosphere, could still exist on its own.
