The ark has the maximum permitted building volume and was built as a fully-fledged home in accordance with the Building Decree regulations.

It is economically designed for a family with two children and has a conventional program, spread over three floors.

The sleeping floor is partly below water level, the entrance and living room are on the ground floor, the dining kitchen and a spacious roof terrace are on the top floor.

The central staircase makes the total height perceptible everywhere and daylight falls into the night hall below. Extra attention has been paid to the sound insulation inside the house.
